"The good things of my land" on the municipal computer system
Abstract
This report discusses the pilot project entitled "The good things of my land," done using distance learning through the EducaRede Program, in partnership with the São Paulo State Secretariat of Education, launched in October 2004 and involving 194 schools in 70 São Paulo municipalities. Using internet resources available on the EducaRede Portal, the project was developed from two perspectives: digital literacy and the local-global binomial. The theme was to talk about "the good things in the city where they live," which leads us to imagine a triangle that uses technology as a base and education and culture as sides. The imaginary figure would illustrate the wealth of actions that could be done using this trio. Simple, local actions that could influence the education of those involved, helping them to understand their reality, situate themselves within it and transform it. The conclusion is that the school therefore socializes knowledge produced within the school. The student not only learns to build his or her knowledge, but also to socialize this knowledge. Education, culture and technology appear, in general lines, in manners of expression, of understanding and of discussing this construction.
